The Communications Director is responsible for developing and implementing all internal and external communications for UnityReach Global. This department manages branding, public relations, media, marketing, social media, website content, photography, videography, donor communications, publications, and storytelling to ensure that the mission, vision, and impact of UnityReach Global are communicated professionally and consistently.

The Communications Director works closely with the Executive Director, Mission Director, Development Department, Volunteer Department, and all ministry leaders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Before the Mission
  • Develop annual marketing and communications plans
  • Launch volunteer recruitment campaigns
  • Produce sponsorship and fundraising materials
  • Update the website and donation platform
  • Coordinate press outreach and media partnerships
  • Create multilingual promotional content
  • During the Mission
  • Provide daily mission updates
  • Capture photos and videos of outreach activities
  • Produce social media content and livestreams
  • Coordinate media interviews
  • Share donor impact stories
  • Support all departments with communication needs
  • After the Mission
  • Publish the mission impact report
  • Send donor thank-you messages and updates
  • Produce a documentary and highlight videos
  • Archive photos and videos
  • Evaluate campaign performance
  • Maintain ongoing communication with volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters
  • This structure creates a Communications Department of approximately 45–60 staff and volunteers, capable of supporting a large international humanitarian mission while maintaining a professional public presence, engaging donors and volunteers, and documenting the mission's impact across multiple platforms and languages
